About

Katie Kapugi has an M.A. from Antioch University Seattle in Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy, she received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida.

Since graduation Katie has worked in outpatient community mental health settings, school based environments, and outpatient hospital clinics.

She specializes in mindfulness based therapies, relaxation strategies, somatic based therapies, trauma informed care, CBT, and art therapy.

She has worked extensively with co-occurring medical and mental health issues, anxiety, panic attack disorder, PTSD, grief and loss, body based trauma, identity and lifestyle transition and chronic pain. She has worked with adults, youth, and children.

She is passionate about issues of social justice and equitable care.

Katie is a creative individual, that caters her approach and treatment plan to your particular needs. She believes each individual has a set of strengths invaluable to personal growth, recovery, and exploration.

On her free time Katie enjoys making art of all kinds, reading, hiking in the mountains, and spending time with her son.
